God needs

My answer would short and simple. "Definitely YES!"

This world of ours definitely needs a GOD ...to guide us,to seek solace and comfort in times of trouble,to gain confidence,to prompt to live in peace and harmony, to instill a sense of lovingness,to do deeds of kindness....so many good things in life are often enervated by the simple conviction that there is a unique supernatural being as GOD above humans.

That is somewhat like asking "if there were no rules would people be good?". Do you know the answer? Since man stood upright and formed societies they have also had some form of God/Goddess worship. The worship of a single God as along the lines of the Judeo / Christian / Islamic line has been with us for well over 2,000 years. The basis of our societies moral foundation, social growth, philosophical standard is all based upon Old Testament and Talmud rules. Does the world need God? It seems so.
