Commitment is commitment no matter the package it's all in what you feel comfortable with. Marriage has paperwork and is used for the church and families and insurance and all the want not of society. I have had a marriage and I'm not sure that I would go that route again. Not in any way shape or form. I've been in a commited relationship for about 7 years now and have 2 kids with the guy and we live as husband and wife. Just with out the paper work. It doesn't mean I love him anyless. It's just what works for me at this stage in my life.

it's not only because our cultural heritage proposes marriage and that living together seems like very inappropriate, i'd still go for marriage. i know it doesn't work for everyone. but of course, i wouldn't get married unless am sure that am prepared to be with that person. it's not a bed of roses, they say. marriage requires a lot of hard work. unlike live in relationships, you can just call it off if it doesn't work out. here in the Philippines we don't have divorce unlike in some countries.
