My son has been cutting his first tooth for the past 3 days and what a change it has brought to him for just one tiny little tooth.
He has lost most of his appitite he wouldn't really eat anything to the point i had to give him pedialite which even then didn't work very well. He actually threw up two times. Of coarse he's been very fussy, although he still has his attitude of a happy little boy. And has diahria
How has your child acted towards teething? I know everyone has had many different experiences and i would love to hear yours!

My son is 8 months old and has 4 tiny teeth which appeared all in one month..But, luckily, he didn't get a fever, diarrhea or hasn't lost his appetite..But is fussy and kinda irritable at times..couldn't stop gnawing his cloth diaper or anything he could chew on..I hope your son will get through this soon..It isn't good for him to loose weight..have you tried putting oral gels? If not, ask your pediatrician what is the best brand..It soothes the gum and teeth..

I have been using tylonol at night for him though
He's gonna make it through I'm sure of it i am trying to make it as comfy as i can and keep him well fed.

with my daughter's first tooth, she had diarrhea for about five days until the tooth broke through the gum. with her second tooth, which started about two days after the first one came through, she had a fever for three days and then diarrhea for a couple more days. she had no change in eating or sleeping habits. i gave her pedialyte for about two weeks just to make sure that there was no dehydration.

my daughter just recently cut her first tooth. she had diarrhea for almost two weeks straight, but no other significant changes in behavior or eating patterns. i would offer her pedialyte several times throughout the day to prevent dehydration. because she was going potty so much, she had gotten a pretty nasty rash. once the tooth came in, everything cleared up for about two days and then the second one started to cut through the gum. with this tooth, she had a fever of 100.3 for three days.
if you son's appetite has changed, you should check with his pediatrician to make sure that nothing else is the matter. especially since there is vomitting involved. most professionals will suggest a BRAT diet- bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. but, if you find something that you son tolerates, like graham crakers or vanilla wafers, just keep giving it to him. it's better to have something in his stomach, than nothing.

Ashton and parsons teething powders were fab and calpol at night to really dull the pain so they could get the rest they needed xx
