It takes a bit more to hypnotize someone than just looking into their eyes. Milton Erickson, who was a psychiatrist, psychologist and hypnotist, was known for his ability to hypnotize people by doing things like that, but for the most part, it is a little bit more complicated.

I have a friend who's a qualified hypnotist, so I know it's possible. It take more than looking into someone's eyes though. It's to do with the tone of voice and the way they speak to you and your willingness to relax down into it. It's very rare that someone can hypnotise someone else instantly or with a look or touch. It's usually a process. My friend specialises in past-life regressions. It's a fascinating subject.

No I don't feel you can hypnotize someone by just looking into their eyes. There is a process and a series of steps to go through before you are under. I have been hypnotized before and it is basicly a state of mind.. If you are not relaxed or going in with an open mind it is much harder to do.
