I need a fast answer for a home remedy to treat a yeast infection in my 4 month old. I just moved to Florida and low and behold you are not allowed to see a doctor without cash upfront. No one will see her. I've taken her to the ER 3 times now and they are only making it worse.

diaper area. They said it was a yeast infection. But they first said it was thrush and gave us a cream that made it a hundred times worse.

if the doctors said it's yeast, it's quite common based on the baby books i have read..But the thing is, she might be allergic to the cream that was given to you. So, better go back to the doctor or go to another pediatrician for a second opinion and tell the doc what happened..The doc might give you another cream that is hypo-allergenic..Seek for proffesional help immediately because it could get a lot worst if not treated asap..remember, she's a girl, and it could go inside...

yeah it is really bad right now, and they keep giving us creams that aren't working. We have even tried home remedys we've found online. The doctors are making it out like it's our fault or we neglect her in some way.

My Daughhter had this problem also when she was a baby. Over the counter yeast cream work well. (like Monistat) Apply a small amount to the area. Keep the area dry and if you need to you can put cotton (like a ripped up sheet) lining in her diaper to prefent it from speading. My daughter was cover from ancle to arms when she had it.

Thank you thats awesome advice. We weren't sure if we should use monistat because she's an infant. That was going to be our next thing though.

Cranberry juice is supposed to be good for a yeast infection but, I don't know about a 4 month old. That is really my only suggestion. You might go to your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if he or she has a suggestion. And, CVS has a doctor on duty that people can go see for small things like colds and, maybe a yeast infection on your 4 month old. I don't know if you need insurance to see the doctor on duty at CVS but, you might give that a shot too.
Otherwise, when all else fails, try the pharmacist at your grocery store.
Good luck! I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
