Problems at Work

As some of you read from my other post, I recently went through a miscarriage and was taken off of work by the ER. My appointment to see my doctor is at 5:15pm today, and I called my boss to let her know that I'll know more at that time because I don't know if I'm going to need a D&C or not. This is the response that I got from her: "I need to let you know that if you take anymore time off of work, medical related or not, that you will need to petition for the FMLA with Mark. You will more than likely get denied because you don't have a year in. So, I suggest that if you're feeling up to it just to come into work. If your doctor does take you off of work, just don't tell me about it and come into work as scheduled." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, she's basically telling me to go against everything my doctor tells me!

I'm so sorry to hear that, I haven't been online in like a week so I didnt know what happened or I would have wrote sooner. I hope your doing ok....And Your boss is about the biggest B**** that I have ever heard of and I'm glad I didnt go get a job there or I would have told her what I think of her for that and I would have gotten fired that's not only illegal but its RUDE. its not like you have a little cold or something or your just not wanting to go to work. wow that lady needs a reality check.

If you have a doctors note they cannot legally fire you.
