This woman has her entire face covered in pure gold foil cleverly named "gold facial". Apparently this is a new trend done by a Japanese company called Umo. I did some research and found that they are offering this in the United States as well and it cost about $300. I don't think I've ever spent more than $50 for a facial.
Would you fork over the cash for this expensive treat???

Even here in India we have this gold facial being done in most parlours and the rates are pretty high.I go in for a shahnaz herbal facial which costs in Indian rupees 500.Though these gold facial they claim it gives a sheen and improves the complexion and all that.I have seen people who have done it and was really not impressed.I am actually happy applying some home made face masks.I go for a proffessional facial very rarely.

Well there are lots of masks on the market. Some are made with food, with mud and now apparently with gold but I mostly stick with the at home stuff. My skin is clear so I guess I don't need to worry about spending top dollar to try some new trend. Thanks for commenting biggerb, it's cool to talk to someone all the way in India.

hell no!! it amazes me how much people will pay for things and how people can find ways to waste something like gold, silver, or diamonds etc..

I know, it seems like there are many better ways to spend $300. Im no saint but I just cant see spending that kind of money on a facial when there are people starving and homeless.

300!? goodness no. I would spend between 50-100 MAXIMUM for a facial, depending on what kind of treatments are offered, how long it lasts, and extras (scalp massage, paraffin treatment, etc)...and even then I don't often get them because of cost. I'd rather get my hair done or get a pedicure than a facial :)
I have better things to put $300.00 towards.

Yeah $300 is pretty crazy!!
I'm a big time bargain shopper so I could do a lot more than just a one time facial with $300. And I agree with you, I'd much rather get my hair or feet done!! I love a good pedi!
