So, the world is going through lots of turmoil now. we have the earthquake in China that shook the homes of millions, killing around 10,000 people and leaving others homeless. And here, in the united States, a series of tornados touching down in the midwest, leaving thousands without homes and killing a reported 22 people. This and the discovery of many new spiecies, some thought to be extinct for thousands of years are now being "rediscovered" and new ones being found more often. Some are new spiecies in the ocean due to the extreme climate change and the warmer/colder waters emerging species to migrate closer to the surface of the ocean. Furthur up, there are the ever melting ice caps melting away putting polar bears on a soon to be endangered list. With gas prices going up to a national average of about five dollars a gallon, something is changing and the world is nearing its destructive end.
That and the many million companies laying of workers and closing stores down as the economy suffers. Jobs are lost and more and more people can't even afford to live. Forclousers and becoming a common listing in cities accross the nation and the search for new jobs are on the rise.
Yes we have made many achievments, our landing succefully on the northern part of Mars and the discover of what is to be believed ice crystals. But could this just be a sign that life is possible so when the world comes to its final days, those lucky enough can get away to the distant planet and start a new world? Will the end be a suddon onset of a giant meteor or will it be a gradual recession in our economy like now, and the distruction of the world via natrual causes do to the world pollution and the ungratefullness of the destructors [human kind]?
Just some thoughts to think about, I mean there are probably many more, but thos are all I have time to post. I am in class now, and we got a big disscusion about it. Some points were very vaild while some, well, were very rediculous. anyone, what's you opinion? Will we be around in the distant future? Or will our own destruction bring us to our end?
