Wasps

Anybody have tips on keeping wasps away from a wooden pool deck? We've checked and there are no nests, they just love to crawl around between the deck boards. They are probably prepping for nest building but I'd like to keep them from coming around.

You may have to treat you deck with some sort of repellent. Ask about it at your local home improvement store. Otherwise, you just will have to be on the lookout. They not only make their nests on the wood. They may just gather the material and make the nest elsewhere. Check your trees, under the roof, in the attic/basement and around the windows of your house. I even found the beginnigs of a nest in one of our garbage cans one time. You don't want to get stuck with a full nest!
