Dangerous threat to humanity?

hello mahesh..... you must be from india... i think that the most dangerous threat to humanity is the from the humans itself. the change that they are bringing onto this earth in the name of prosperity and humanity is the biggest threat. have a good day.

I think the proliferation of nuclear weapons is probably our greates threat. I also think we need to try to not think we know all the answers in this country and to live and let live.

The Governemnt!

WE are the most dangerous threats ourselves. More than any other animal on the earth. WE have been destructive to other species. We are destructive to ourselves. I think HUMANS as a whole need to learn tolerance as a way of life. Or we one day may not have one.

Our complacency. We just sit here and gripe about things and let the politicians do whatever they please while we tighten out belts, cut down on whatever we can and watch our money dwindle while they enslave our children.

Some superbug or environmental disaster. Definitely something humans themselves have started and it got out of control.

well Mahesh, according to me the most dangerous threat to humanity is religion. All these saints and religious heads and babas and mullahs they are all fighting among themselves for power and position and wealth. The more the followers, the more wealthy that particular sect or temple becomes. and the religious heads of the sects wield so much power and control over society, starting from politicians to police to the common man. As an Indian, you must be very aware of this. And then see in the world scenario too. Muslims and Christians are fighting among each other, Israel and Palestine are always in conflict over the Holy Land, so many forced conversions and killings are taking place all in the name of some God whom none of us have ever seen. The irony of it all is that most religions claim to propagate peace while the followers of all of them resort to violence in order to impose their faith on others. The true religion according to me should be humanity and everything else should be restricted within the walls of individual homes. No public display of religious sentiment should be allowed in any country.

i think its greed. when people only think about themselves that is where most of the misunderstanding come from. if people do not want to give, only take for themselves.. its one sided and it is like a rive. if you dont let it flow it will die.

I think a lack of caring for each other is one of the biggest threats. Lately I have seen so many mean, vicious crimes against others, especially an increase in crimes against children and elderly.

This is a great question, MAHESH2008. Thanks for making me think really hard! I tend to agree somewhat with praveenjena though, in that humans will be the earth's and each other's biggest threat. They are well on their way to irrevoccable pollution of the earth, water and skies. However, it may come down to a fight against each other to just stay alive. I really hope it doesn't get to that, if everyone could work together and with the politicians and big business as it is obvious that money and power make our world go round. If this were to start in a mass, world wide effort really soon...then...I can see a greener, healthier world for my grandchildren as they become parents and grandparents themselves...

I think that humanity is the most dangerous threat to humanity. We are causing the destruction of the planet, the animals and ourselves. There is no great threat like that of a human.

I think disease is going to be dangerous. Just like the bird flu or the scare we had with beef...what was that called? Mad cow disease? It will probably be something that we have no cure for like the small pox disease many decades ago.

I think that man is man's worse enemy. But he can also be his best friend, but as morals decline, so will compassion and the value of human life..

Hi mahesh In my view it is the man kind who is most dangerous threatr for humanity. it is humans selfish ness and wish to acheive evrey thing under his control over ambitiously,wil be going to creat lot of trouble and may prove the dangerous one.

I think that the most dangerous threat to humanity are religious cults that are springing up all over the world. I just finished Carolyn Jessop's book about escaping the FLDS, with her 8 children. What a story!!! It's called ESCAPE if you are interested in reading it.

Two words...Barrack Obama...need I say more? On another note, HUMANS are our own greatest threat. Too many itchy trigger fingers on the Nuclear Missle buttons. I hate to say it, but I think that day will come.
