March 2008: Canada's annual seal hunting had started. Although the hunters are obliged by government to employ a more human way of killing the little animals, a lot of animal-rights activists condemned the seal killing as inhumane.. Should this seal hunting be discarded for the future? And how can this be managed or enforced?

I am a proud Canadian about almost everything. I hate the seal hunt and think it is a black mark against all Canadians. It is disgusting and inhumane. I right letters and sign petitions but no one listens. It is just sad and to anyone that wears the fur you disgust me too.

What bothers me the most is the huge WASTE. Not only is 90% of the animal wasted, but the hunt is 100% unsustainable. Before you know it the seals will end up like the Cod. Hunted to the edge of extinction.
