And that's up from $4.06 two days ago. It seems the sky is the limit while those smug oil company execs spin their web of lies.

I so wish I could stockpile gas. There is no public transportation here so I have to drive.

Here in Southern California, I filled up yesterday at $4.14 a gallon. *sigh* It's too bad that public transportation is bad here in my area, or I would have made the switch a long time ago. I wish they would go down, I remember when I got my license back in 2000 and it was $1.19 a gallon. How times have changed.

Well, its been a few days since I've been in town but the last time I was in we were at $3.99 a gallon. My husband hasn't complained about it going up again yet so I'm assuming that we are still at that or maybe a little lower. Every so often it goes down 5 or 10 cents then right back up. They'll probably raise the price for the holiday weekend i'm sure.

Hi Spalladino, gas here in South Jersey is $3.39 but if you pay with a credit card it's $3.49--isn't that some crap! I usually will have a little bit of cash but today I was totally out...I go to the gas station with Christina and I always, always keep track of whatever I spend so that I don't go over...so I'm writing down the amount and Chris tells me, "no, mom it's more...check out the sign" I was flabbergasted!! Why, why, why? In the end, it's not rocket science...and a dime is a small amount but when you calculate it, a dime here, a dime there...it adds up...so from now on I will try to have the cash on hand for gas! ~G~

Forgot to add that at least your gas prices go up a few cents at a time, ours goes up a dime or more when it does! ~G~

It's 3.82 where we filled up last night, but I know its more some places around here. We are in the south and I think ours goes up slower than other places.

I think you're in the right spot, sunnflr, since I'm in south Florida but that's probably why it's higher here...farther to go to get it here.

I think we're still at 3.98 around here. But I'm not sure because I haven't been out of the house for a while. It's bothersome really but I'm not using gas. lol

AS of this morning regular unleaded gas was $3.91 a gallon I suppose it will be going up real soon though. I don't get gas very often as I stay home now instead of going out of town can't afford to leave town at those prices!

Write your congressperson and Representative. Congress is considering legislation to restrict commodities traders who are the reason gas prices have skyrocketed this year. Ask thet they support measures to regulate unrestricted petroleum speculation and commodities trading. Write a hand written letter, email get delted often without being read. Here is a letter you can use. Dear Senator (name) ( or Representative (name)) I encourage you to support efforts to curb unrestricted speculation in petroleum and comodities trading, along with restrictions on American investors moving their portfolios offshore to avoid U.S. regulations. In short, rein in the speculators whose actions have contributed in large measure to the high price of fuel in (your State). Many Thanks sign here ------------- Specualtion in the commodities markets have caused our fuel prices to soar, our food prices to increase, and everything else we buy.

So far its up to 3.69 here, in some places just a few miles away from us, its 3.79 to 3.85. Diesel is even higher than that. I know its ridiculous, I don't know why they are doing this. I expect it to reach 4.00 here soon also.

Diesel today here is £1.31p per litre thats approximatly £5.95p per gallon, which in dollars thats about.....$11.75 owch!... Thats why we call it 'Rip Off Britain' . No other country has to put up with taxes like we suffer here and now.
