Have You Won Any Drawing Contests In Your Life?

Wow, that's cool! A very late congratulations to you! :D I won some contests in the past. In 6th grade, my classmate and I were partners. We won the inter-class poster-making contest. I think I'd owe most of it to him since he was a great abstract artist. In high school, I won a slogan/poster-making contest for our school's foundation day. Participants were from the whole school from grade school to college, faculty and personnel. I won 1500 Philippine pesos, which was around US$30. Outside the school, I joined a Dragonball Drawing Contest and won at 4th place. I got Dragonball goodies and a bag of chips from their sponsor. I was annoyed that time because I didn't know it was okay to base drawings from cards or pictures. I was so concentrated on my art that I didn't know everyone else around me were having a basis for their drawing. My mom and my brother told me afterward. If only I had known, I'm sure I could have bagged first place because I have been drawing Dragonball since kindergarten. Another contest I entered during high school was a telephone company's poster-making contest. There are 10 merit prizes and another top 10. The first place will get his/her work published as cover for the directory. The first time I joined, I messed up my work because it was my first time to use poster colors. The second time I joined, I got a merit award. It was better than nothing and I'm proud of it. My name and the others were published in the directory. I also got PhP1000 (USD20). In college, there was a contest among Social Studies classes to create a political-inspired cartoon based on current events. Each class is further divided into groups. My classmates looked particularly for me to have in their group. It was fun but it was sort of annoying to have people want to have you because they want something. It's okay since they're my friends anyway. We won the contest and got a bag of chocolates. :P Sorry if this is really lengthy. I can't help reminiscing those times. I won $11,000 in a drawing and $8,000 in another. I have won a bunch of drawing contest.

It has been some time ago since I won a drawing. The last was a drawing for a charcoal grill at F.M. It was an awesome grill and I really enjoyed using it.

That is pretty cool. I think the only awards I have won for artwork were from local fairs and the like. It's really sad because I was a wonderful artist when I was younger - always cream of the crop in art classes and even in my first year of college, but I never kept going. I always wanted to go into graphic design, but chose marketing instead, and ended up getting into Finance. My husband and I just bought our first home last year, and so room by room I'm now coming up with different art projects to do around the house. It's exciting and I'm happy to get my creative juices flowing again!

Yes, when i was in my High School i often join a contest and i'm happy to say that i got the first place most of the time which i used for my study. lol. I thank God for blessing that talent.

I won one contest when I was in 9th grade. The prize of this contest is $25 gift card. Even though that's just a gift card, better than nothing. But I prefer money as the prize.

Congratulations. I have won one contest when I was eight I won a Road Safety Competition run by the local council and sponsored by a local car garage. I was runner up in my age group but overall winner of all the age groups up to age 18 for originality. I got a shield to keep, one for the year for my school and vouchers to spend in local stores.
