Does anyone else have a dog who will do silly things to get your attention?

When ever I am busy or not paying much attention to my Jackie: She will do the standing pose which is in the picture below. Then, she will start to howl and kinda make talking noises . The thing is she will hold that pose for a few mins at a time . She always has everyone cracking up.
Do any of your pets do things like that?

My jack russell, paws at your hand and wimpers. If you don't finish your food on your plate, he will start to whimper and then bark at you until you either put the plate away or eat the rest of the food.

My dog does the most adorable things to get my attention. He is a dobey so he is pretty big. He tries to talk, sometimes it sounds like he is saying momma. He also thinks it is his duty to sit with us while we go to the bathroom. This is really funny and awkward, I guess he figures that we take him out to go potty and he should return the favor.

Arn't dogs wonderful! My dog is mostly shepard and he has to greet each of us when we arrive home. He give out a woof that sort of sounds like woowoo. He lets me know as soon as someone drives into the drive. If the person is someone he doesn't trust then he gives out a gutteral growl.
My dog's favorite past time is playing with a tennis ball. He will actually toss it at the person he is playing with or drop it in their lap. We call it spit ball or slime ball. If his ball gets tossed into the dirt he will drop it into his water bucket to rinse it off. We play various versions of fetch and we include two balls. He will follow command to fetch the one we just threw and he runs out and drops the one in his mouth and brings the ball we sent him out for. He will continue to do this for about ten laps and then the game gets old.
Tec also has teddy bears and monkies that he loves to play with and all his toys are kept in a basket in my bedroom. He really is my angel.

aww your pup sounds so sweet and cute .I just adore dogs. My dogs have their play toys all over the house, they really are spoiled. As soon as my fiance 's car pulls up in the drive way the are waiting at the door barking. When we both are out and are coming in you can hear them from the street getting ready to give us kisses when we get in.

wow, our booger of a doxie (mix im sure) Joey, looks a lot like your Jackie!
he does that stand up pose too! or the even cuter manuever....lay his front half down (on his side) on the floor with his rear still standing in the air and put one front paw over his eye...he knows that is the ultimate cute move and that he will just about always get attention when he does it!
the only time Joey makes noises (other than barking at somethng) is if he has gotten into trouble..he will backtalk at you under his breath as he slinks away after a scolding! its the funniest thing! sometimes you can hear him grumbling to himself under the bed about how he has been unfairly scolded!

That is so cute.
Well when my dog wanted to go outside and go to the bathroom she would come over and start spinning in circles. If she wanted your attention she would sit in front of you and stare at you and wag her tail every few seconds. If that did not get your attention she would come up to you and either lean on your legs or stick her head under your hand and pry it up to pet her. She was such a smart dog, I miss her so much.

My dog will lay on the back of the couch and when arent looking at him he will whine. Then when you look at him he will wag his tail and raise his head. Then when you look away he will lay his head down and whine again. Then he will scoot closer to you and lay there and whine until you look at him again. He is 12 1/2 years old. My pug will sit there with his chin on your leg until you look at him and then he will nudge you and put his chin back on your leg. Then if you still dont pay attention to him he will go get a toy and come up and nudge you. He will try all sorts of different things to get attention.

Dogs definitely know how to grab one's attention. I have a Jack Russell.. Altho JR's are suppose to be hyper and on the go all the time, my little guy is a couch potato.
I usually have to wake him up in the mornings as he would rather stay in bed under the covers.
Whenever he wants to go out, he'll come over and nudge me with his nose.. then stand beside me and bark at me. When he's out of food, or he THINKS he is out of food (because it isn't IN his bowl but all over the place)..he'll start scratching the dish or the litter pan I had to put his food dish in.
I taught him to NO KISSES, so he'll just push my face with his snout instead!

That's so sweet!
I don't have a dog, anymore.
But my cats will do weird stuff
like step in my food or on my
keyboard if I ignore them too long.
So, I have to take time out of my
day to spend with them as if they
were my children.
Cause in my heart, they are!

we have 7 dogs, most of the time they are competing with each other for our attention... If i pat the first dog's head, the other dog will come towards me and lick my hand, seems like they are saying to me that i should pat their head too..

My dog Pixie will also sit in that "pretty sit" or "begging" pose to get attention. She is a JRT X. She also looks very cute when she tips her head to one side and I'm sure she just does it to look cute!!
