Being a working Mum should be a choice that you make, if you think you can survive on 1 income then you could try it.
Perhaps you could look in to having a job where they provide a creche service :) That way your children can still be near to you.
Part time work is always a good idea if you don't want to have your child looked after by someone else too often.
I guess the very only last option is to wait to have a family until you can afford to be soley on the 1 income, then you know you'll be financially secure to stay home & raise your own child & then can return to work once the child is in Kindergarten or school.
If you already have a child them perhaps the only option would be to cut back your working hours or see if you can take care of other people's kids so you can earn money but still be at home with your child.

I agree with you very much and I know how it feels to leave your children under the care of someone else. It makes you feel anxious. But in today's society, we, women also have to earn a living to help our spouse's income. Thus, balancing one's time becomes crucial because we now play so many roles - from being a mother, to wife, student, sister, daughter, etc.. I guess we just have to prioritize our activities and not waste our energies on unimportant things like hanging out with friends. I also plan ahead and make a mental ntoe of the things I need to accomplish on a day to day basis.
