Do you think there is to much pressure to be a perfect mom? I do. The worst part is that it is moms putting the pressure on moms. For me though it is more my in laws, but I think that is the norm.

Yes, we all want to be that perfect mom, I pray and ask God to help me be a better christian, better wife, and mom.I ask him to shape me and mold me in the kind of person he would want me to be, I want to set a good example for my kids.

You should try for that but need to relize that you are not perfect and neither is anyone else. I just hope that I can teach my children right from wrong so they can be good people and contribute to their community.

Yes, with the social pressures of society we are expected to be superwoman. You are suppose to be the loving, doting wife, the loving & disiplinary mother, the working woman, the cleaning lady, the laundry lady, shopping extraordinary for groceries/school supplies/clothing/ect, betty crocker, party planner, taxi driver, soccer mom cheering from the sidelines or even coaching, cheif chef, homework checker, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on................................ you get the picture. We grew up with our Mothers either not working or only working part-time when extra income was a necessity; now with the rising prices of EVERYTHING, this generation must work 2 & 3 jobs just to survive. We are a generation of wants and we want to give our children more than we had. We place the pressure on ourselves to keep doing more and more. The obvious part that ALL of us keep overlooking is that our children just want our time and we put that off for special occassions. (raising my hand, I'm guilty) Every now and again, I step back and just shut down for a day or two and just devote to my family doing family things, like fishing or an amusement park and those days mean more than the huge ticket items that are purchased at Christmas. It time we all learn to stop.............smell the roses and enjoy our children while they are children!
