tasmania is beautiful!!!!
me and my husband went there in 2007 and we had a great time.... apart from it being so cold!!!!!! we live in sunny Queensland Australia so for us it was like going to the north pole!!!! it was freezing it did snow on cradle mountain but we didnt go that far up.
we visited hobart and port arthour and davenport, frecinet,richmond and heaps of other places but everywhere you go there is just such beautiful scenery to look at!!!! you have a veiw of the ocean from pretty much everywhere you go!!
and you also have a veiw of the mountians and vine yards everywhere you go!!! its just so beautiful!!!
accomodation was expensive but everything else was fairly reasonable!!!!
great spot on the world!!!

Hello! Were you able to go to "The Bluff"? It's a curving beach in Devonport and it's just amazing! You can either walk or go biking, the scenery absolutely took my breath away. We also got to do some penguin viewing in Lillico Beach. I also heard the Devonport was originally 2 towns way back in 1826. It only became Devonport sometime in 1890. Found lots of history about Tasmania from this blog: http://blog.discovertasmania.com/ while I did some research for our family vacation. Hope that helps others thinking of visiting Tasmania.

I live in Melbourne and I have often thought I would like to possibly move there, it always looks so nice and I think in the summer it is a little cooler which would suit me fine, I have seen some beautiful photos of Tasmania.
