I like cool jet and found somewhere in a website, the best fighter jet in the world is F22 Raptor.How about you? Do you think the same way or there is another best fighter jet. Give your comment.

The F-22 is AMAZING. But, the Eurofighter, and F-15 are also veryyy nice. I'd like to fly the F-22 first, followed by the F-15, and the Eurofighter really isn't an option since I live in the U.S. The F/A-18 is a nice plane too if you're going into the navy. But, ya, the F-22 is probably the best fighter jet on the planet. But, it's pretty closely followed by the eurofighter.

F-22 in term of engineering could be it the best creation but in term of fighting, it need to compete with many cool jet like Eurofighter, JAS-39 Gripen, Sukhoi, RAFALE. Hey, I would like to see how these jets butt in a dogfight TOGETHER XD. I think F-22 is the most expensive jet in the world. I like Eurofighter too especially the Typhoon series. I've seen the Typhoon race with a Bugatti Veyron (German's car) in TopGear and the jet won. Maybe F-22 can do better than that.

Nope, the 35 (still in development) is more expensive. The F-22 would probably not fair the best in a close combat dog fight, but, it's so technologically advanced that it should never be close enough to a enemy plane to be in this danger. Also, It's speed and supercruise should be able to get it away from just about anything.

the f-22 is a great plane. and is definently one of the best we have. the fact that it is so hard to detect on radar with its radar repelant skin and the shape of the plane too helps repel radar. also the plane is very fast and it can hold better turns with its thrust controllers. but try looking up the f-35

why the hell are you guys saying the f-22 aint good at long rang i mean the plane doesent help that its the missles you put on it. your saying the 35 is better its not if they both have satilite guided missles then why is the f-35 better

It's been, like, 3 years since this discussion has been last responded to. Well, by now, stuff's changed. Sure, the F-22 is quite the maneuver artist, but is yet to see any action in war. The Harrier's still a very popular choice in many Air Forces around the world (Gotta love them VTOL jets ;D). I like the Mitsubishi F-2, or Fake Hornet - it's a modified version of the F-16; it has more wingspan, larger air intake, and a built-in parachute. But now, there's been a lot of talk about the new F-35 jet. I heard it's gonna be better than any jet that the US Air Force ever deployed.

Yup for me it is the best jet fighter flying right now. for 20 years of research and development. lockheed martin is absolutely a giant in jet fighter manufacturing and they are building the most advanced fighters ever since. Lockheed martin also is currently developing the F-35(joint strike fighter) which will be introduced in 2015 or 2016. But even with the development of the F-35 the F-22 is still america's air superiority fighter and will remain superior to other aircraft for 50 years from now. F-22 is the first aircraft of fifth generation fighter jet and is so stealthy. The sixth generation of fighter jets will be drone or unmanned stealth fighter jets that will be available in late 2030 and currently development is in progress.
