Do you like drinking your coffee BLACK?

I think we have quite a lot of coffee lovers around. I, for one, love coffee.
When I was still in school, I drank coffee both because I loved it and because I hoped it can help me keep awake (it did... for the first 5 min of the lecture). After completing school, my affair with coffee became an on and off thing.
Right now, I am back to drinking coffee slightly more frequently than occasionally. I normally just go for the 3-in-1 kinda coffee lately. But when I am outside, I sometimes choose to drink it BLACK. I think it's kinda cool to be able to enjoy a cup of bitterness.
How about you? How do you drink your coffee? With sugar? With milk? With creamer? The 3 in 1 kind? Or do you like drinking your coffee BLACK?

When I drink coffee (which isn't very often), I drink it black. I'm particular what kind of coffee I drink - don't care for the regular Folgers and that kind of stuff. I usually like a Breakfast Blend.

Wow. But why are you so particular if you only drink it occasionally?

I like my coffee very, very milky if I drink any at all. I used to think it needed lots of sugar to take the edge off the bitterness but eventualy I realized that wasn't really helping. So now on the rare occassions i get a "real cup of coffe, I add lots of milk and nothing else. My "coffee" of choice is more along the lines of the instant French Vanilla kind or the French Vanilla Cappucinos...all very rich and very milky.

I drink coffee any way it comes black, white, steamed, frothy, sugar, no sugar, weak or strong - I even like iced coffee! lol I have however cut back to only 2 or 3 cups a day as I have enough trouble sleeping without overloading on the caffeine! xxxxxx

Back in the days when I struggled to make ends meet, I did drink my coffee black, and without sugar. Now days, I prefer espresso coffees, even have my own espresso machine, and my fave is a cappuccino. My hubby is very good at making them, so I am very lucky! lol.
I drink more tea than anything these days though. Coffee tends to make me sleepy, as do all highly caffeinated drinks, so I do limit my intake.
Today, I've not had any coffee, only tea, but who knows about tomorrow? it will be a new day, so might have at least 1 coffee.

I like to drink coffee with sugar, with creamer and I am also a fan of 3 in 1 coffee mixes. I love coffee, I am a coffee addict and it really keeps you awake. Nutritionist advice people to drink coffee every morning not in the night.

I also love coffee but with milk. I enjoy it most when I get up in the morning. If I can get a good cup of coffee, it energizes me.
I like home made coffee. I hate to go to Tim Hortons for this. I don't like their coffee. I like my own. There are many flavors and varieties of coffee in the market. If you get the right one, you fee the taste of it.
For best results it is godd to experiment. I have found that a mix of two or three varieties of coffee produces a much tasty coffee. So begin experimenting till you get the coffee of your taste. Best of luck.

my mother is a 'coffee-addict'... and i think i have 'coffee in my blood' as well...
i normally like my coffee a bit 'bitter'.. so..
if i make my own.. i use very little sugar, plus milk.. ( i dont like using coffee-creamer )...
but i drink outside.. i just drink with a little sugar.. but without any milk or creamer..
i used to be a secretary in a japanese company.. and used to make coffee for the japanese bosses, and almost most of the japanese bosses drink their coffee - very, very black... (which makes easier for me.. just add hot water + coffee... )

I can drink my coffee black or with a bit of creamer,
but never sugar.uggh. In fact a lot of times I do
prefer it black as it depends on how really good
the coffee is. really great coffee I like it black
but the one thing I never do is add sugar as Ido
not like the taste of sweetened coffee. this has'
always been my habit even before I became a diabetic.

I think some say sugar goes better with tea while milk goes better with coffee.

When I first started drinking coffee, I had to have cream in mine. But, over the years, I decided to start drinking it black. If I were to have a cup of coffee today, I would take it black. But, I haven't had a cup in one year.I quit because it started bothering me. I never had sugar in mine and I don't like creamer.

I drink my coffee black, and have for years. I am not familiar with the three in one kind. I used to drink milk and sugar, but I do not need the calories, and it also seemed to upset my stomach more.

They come in convenient sachets. They have creamer + sugar + coffee powder. Just dump them all in and stir with hot water.

I am an odd specimen as far as coffee drinker. At home and only at home I use Coffee Mates French Vanilla Vream in my coffee. Out to eat at restaraunts etc I will add sugar, cream, and a few ice cubes to cool it down also. Now at the Casino's and at my A.A. club I drink it stone black with ice cubes for cooling it as well. I have not nor will go to anyplace that sells just coffe. I just want regualr coffee nothing fancy here for me.

I am a South Indian and I belong to a community who specialize in filter coffe. But this has milk and sugar in it. It is never black, but has the right mix of coffee, chicory and milk and sugar.
I was a coffe lover earlier but I had to take homeopathy medicine a few yrs back when I had to switch ove rto tea. Ever since my regular beverage is a cup of tea but I have coffee now and then , though not [everyday 4 times ]as before.

I don't drink coffee now, but when I used to I preferred it black. If I was going to drink it I didn't like to mellow the taste with milk or cream. Ok I would use some sugar here and there :) but that was about it.
The funny thing is that now I don't like the taste of coffee even in small quantities, like in a cake or icing.

Ok lord...I've for hours refrained from responding to your "coffee" discussion becuz I thought it to silly. after seeing it in "hot topics" for two days straight...ok maybe I'm wrong. I started out on black coffee at the wee age of ll. why? because my gram made some silly statement about her boobs being big becuz of coffee. She was complaining but me...I was 70 pounds and really desperate to develope. I had never had coffee...I just snuck as much as I could get....Yup black. long story short.....boobs never got bigger...I did figure what an idiot i was...I was a coffee addict by the age of 11. Now I do add a touch of cream....just a touch. 40 yrs later , I stand in line at dunkin donuts for a large iced with a touch of cream.

Hello sid,
You like serious topics? There are tons around. And if you dig back into my archive of serious topics, you will see quite a number too.
But simply, most people are not here for serious topic. I do post them anyway from time to time but they are not popular lol.
And geez, coffee and boobs have no connection!

If I absolutely have to, I will drink it black, but I prefer not to. 2% milk and 3 packs of splenda is my basic cup, but I do love flavored creamers and iced coffee with lots of cream and sugar too.

Or more....it depends how many I grab when I reach into the box...no more than 5 though. Iced coffee is of course an entirely different story....then I like it to crunch!
