When do normally start Christmas shopping for your kids

Then we're both crazy! My husband would also laugh at me because I start buying presents as early as June! When items are on sale, I would buy some and keep them in a safe storage ready to be given away in December. Well, I hate joining the holiday rush, so when there is opportunity,especially when there is a sale, i would buy some items.

I always start around the middle of the year :) It might sound a little nuts but over here there are heaps of stores that offer Xmas sales & stuff. Ok, that might not make much sense - basically, the current sale is at 'ToyWorld' - they have some excellent bargains, they allow you to put the items on lay-by (lay-away or whatever you call it), then they hold on to the items until Xmas Eve & even allow you to pay them off from the time of the sale until Xmas Eve so in most cases, you can pay the gifts off gradually for about 6-7 months. I have just found this really handy, especially for the bigger, dearer items & it makes life easier for me coz i only ever have a small amount to pay off every week or so. It also means i can usually get all the things i want without having to worry about the stores being 'sold out' & i never have to fight the crowds of people who insist on leaving everything until the very last minute. My partner & i are about to start our Xmas shopping, we're getting a big 'swing set' with slides & such, being they're a few hundred dollars & paying them off over the next 6 months will just make things easy & we're guaranteed to get the ones we want. Early shopping for Xmas is DEFINITELY a good idea i think!

I never start my Christmas shopping until about November that way I know about how much I will have to spend on Christmas after all the bills are paid. My sons birthday is in July so I have to worry about that one first.

I think that you should start early it all depends on how many kids that you have I like to go ahead and get things out the way and when allt he sales come around and I still have extra money then I ty to buy them extra things. I think you should start around August right after you get the kids back into school. Sometime trying to be in the crowd when the hoildays come around can be a big head and the people can be some what crazy to!!
