Does Anyone Write Magazine Fillers? I Have a Few Questions....

I've just begun researching how to write fillers for magazines. Is there anyone else who writes them? How many do you send every week? Can I send the same one to several magazines at once? Or is that considered a faux pas? Thanks for any information you can send my way.

I can't answer any of your questions but I'd love some more information. Anything you can pass along about how to get started, average pay...whatever you might think is important to know.
