Are you too near or too far, while watching television?

i use to watch tv far from tv near about 14' and i think its not good to watch tv too near

hi..I definitely dont allow my son to watch too close to the tv or computer because I know what would happen and what harmful ways would befall him..I for one doesn't wear glasses and my vision is still 20/20 and I would like to keep it that way until I'm a grandma..

I can attest to that. For the past few years, I am accustomed to watching TV at a very near distance. This includes both TV and the PC's monitor. My average distance was 1 1/2 feet. I developed astigmatism and had to wear glasses to correct it. It did improve and removed the double vision I'm having. So, it is really not advisable to be as near as that. Oh, and I'm in front of the PC almost 16 hours a day.

A very motherly discussion indeed ! Ya, one should be really careful in maintaining a good enuf distance from the T.V., with 6-10 feet being ideal..
