Well, I heard that long time ago. People in church said it most often. When the minister preached and the topic is Jesus' coming? I am scared to think about it because I feel that I am not ready. I know He will come.. but we don't really know the exact date.
How about you? do you believe that God will be coming soon?
Well, how soon do you think?
Hope to hear from you with your opinions. thanks

Hi celestial, If you read the Bible you will see that the Apostles expected Jesus to return in their lifetime. Every generation since has said the same thing. There are many Christians today who expect Jesus to return at any time. Everyone has a right to believe as they want. Personally, I don't expect it to happen, but life is short and this life will end for all of us. I don't believe you have anything to be scared of, relax and enjoy life, taking care to treat others as you want to be treated. Blessings.

Very well said Pose adn like you I dont expect it to happen and quite frankly could care less simply because IF (remember I'm not a believer of god or a follower of Christianity) it were to happen, what can one do to change it anyway..nothing....so why sweat it ya know..thats my feeling at least. I'd much rather live my life dealing with the hear and now and not missing out on whats in front of me, with me etc than stressing about a big old maybe/what if...

I respect your opinion if you think Jesus wouldn't come well, it's up to you. But if you read in the Bible specially in the book of Revelation, you will be enlightened of what is going to happen.
Thanks for sharing.

As a christian, I do believe that Jesus will come as it is said and written in the bible where true chistian beliefs are (supposedly)based. But as to when, or how soon, Nobody knows. If you want to know the signs though, they are clearly written. But as to how soon or when exactly, it was not written. The reason why it was not written, is also written in the bible. So I really don't understand why a lot of religious preachers, who claims to be christians still keep on predicting the coming, some would even give exact dates. Can you believe that? If you just read the bible, even Jesus Christ himself when He's still with the apostles, told them nobody knows when it will be, nobody but the Father in heaven. Don't you think there are people who would want to know it more than the apostles? They really want to know, So they asked Him, and he said nobody knows. period! That is what the answer that the apostles, (the authority, those who were with him, those who are real followers) got. But then again Jesus indicates that there will be signs. And if you just listen to Him carefully you'll know the signs.

Exactly!!!!I agree. I don't understand either why these people are making predictions and giving the exact date of Jesus' coming where did they get their basis? well, they were the only knows. yes you are right that even the angels in heaven do not know when. Only God the Father knows.
thanks for the reply.

It's so crazy when people set dates.. and off they go to the wilderness or mountain top and are waiting when all you quoted is written. However I do think there is a calendar! But it counts backward from the 'last' day. It's Daniel 12:11,12 and I don't understand why this isn't understood? That there will be (first) Celestial052056, a world peace declared, then the breaking of the peace, first with Israel, at which time their "daily sacrifice" or place of daily sacrifice(i.e. prayers) will be removed, see Mt 24:1and2, and three and a half (Hebrew) years later the notorious 666 will be "set-up" but happy the one who makes it to 45 days later.. What happy event happens upon that day?(2thess1:7;mt24:29,31)
- But most of all, I have to agree with you, the most important thing is to listen to Him.. Always!

hahahahahaahah dont be still thinking on the basis of ones religion, think like humans, open minded, matured. god is not someone who is not here or rests in haven . god is everywhere. love people around you.living people are only gods. sory if i hurt anybody.
i would like to say an example story to you.
once there lived a man who worships god like anything. once his village got floods and he is in middle of a stream of water almost sinking. then he got some support like some wood. he caught and hanging that.a man with a boat came near him and asked him to come on to boat.but that foolish man rejected that boatmen. after sometime a army helping helicopter came to that man and asked him to come on to the copter, still he rejected. finally a big tide came and scattered him away. from that what we learn is the people around us are only gods helping us when need, and dont be foolish waiting for god to come to you.
i am really sory for those people i if hurt them. this is my individual view as asked through the post. i once again say sorry to those people if i really hurt them. sorry. take care bye bye .
