I'm bored of watching tv channels

When I say that, I don't mean that I'm bored of watching the shows that I enjoy but rather that I'm tired of stopping what I'm doing, sitting down before a show starts so that I don't miss the beginning, waiting, watching 5 minutes, waiting for advert, watching 5 minutes, trying to get coffee in the adverts but since I am unlucky these adverts are shorter than normal so I miss a bit, watch 5 minutes, sit through more adverts, expect more content but recieve only credits.
Do television broadcasts really still have a place in a society where most of the shows broadcast on them are readily available for much less pain and suffering on DVDs or (on the slightly less legal side depending on where you get them from) on the Internet?

yes i agree with you because sometimes, the commercials seem soooooooo long! i do watch tv, but lately i have been multi tasking during this time. i am doing things such as crocheting, x stitching and the like. today i will be ironing during my tv watching time...i might as well get some other stuff done! (you are right, sitting there is just SO boring!)

The real question comes in on if you were watching something good without adverts if you would still get your chores done. When the adverts come on does come across as a perfect time to shift your focus onto something else.
