Now I know that we have all come to realize that most of the things that we enjoy eating can cause serious consequences in the area of health and well being. So the question is, What do we eat, when everything we like seems to be bad for us un some way. Paper anyone?
I continue to share these with you just to give you the facts, but we all know that we have to decide and do what we feel is best for us as individuals. Some of these were unexpected to say the least. Not only that, with the title, I would think that the list would be much more than nine. But check them out and let me know what you think.

I would agree that eating only the nine items on the list would make many people fat. However, if we eat them in moderation and only occasionally, I can't see where they would do that much harm.
Exercise is the key to keeping the weight off...but food does make a difference too.
Moderation is a good thing in most areas of life, including food. :)

Yes, I see now what you mean.
Well, it's the high calorie counts of each item. The nachos, buffalo wings, and cheese fries each contain almost 2x the caloric count advised for an entire day! The other items pack a whopping 500 to 800 calories in just one food item. The fat content of each one is higher than is recommended for a daily intake as well.
Some food items at restaurants, like the article mentions, pack more calories than you'd think because there are hidden ingredients of which the consumer is not aware. Butter, salt, and oil are all "hidden" ingredients used to make food taste "better", but deliver several hundred unecessary calories.
I used to eat a specific salad at one of my favorite restaurants a few times a week. I was gaining weight slowly and couldn't figure out why. That was the only thing I had changed. I did some research and found out that my favorite "healthy" salad carried a high calorie count of 1,200 calories and that was without the dressing! So, I only eat that once in a great while now...
I hope I gave a more precise answer for your excellent question this time.

Great topic! Read the link! My guess these foods are singled out because of their high rate of consumption, and the fact that when eating these, most people think they are making a healthier choice. Who would have thot a "muffin" would be a bad choice.
I think items that I would add would have been anything "white" (except milk.) Bleached, over-processed sugars & flours, I think, are bad for us!
Thanks for the good discussion! Cheers!

I can think of a lot more than just these 9 foods. The only thing I don't eat much of is onion rings and cinnamon rolls. All the others I eat quite often LOL especially nachos.

I really love all nine of these foods! Of course I don't eat them everyday or anything like that, but really I do eat them once in a while and will continue to do so because my main diet consists of very organic fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean meats! I love pastas and salads and all that, but every now and then get a craving for some pizza, hot wings, nachos, and the likes! Tons of foods are not good for you if you eat them consistently and really you can find ways to make other foods healthy so we often do that. Like baking instead of frying, etc.
