Here is a website with a cheatsheet on how to avoid phthalates!

That is the word for hormone-interrupting chemicals! These chemicals hurt us in more ways than you can imagine! What do you do to stay safe?

That is a good site. Thanks for sharing. They do have some new water-based nail polishes out that are not as nasty-smelling, and probably safer too, but until recently the best price I had seen was $18 a bottle and if that isn't bad enough, the remover cost even more and then there was shipping. But now I see that Sanctuary Botanicals has the phthalate-free polish at a slightly more reasonable price:

So for 18 dollars or for eleven dollars, it is worth it to be safer! It will last a long time, as any bottle of nail polish usually lasts a year or more! I guess it depends on how often you do your nails! Thanks for the website, I saved it and will use it as gifts for those people that use make up and nail polish!

I lived on a sailboat for 20 years and everything I have in dishes and cooking pots is unlined stainless steel. The only thing you put in plastic was your clean clothes to keep them from getting wet and mildewing lol.
I now live ashore due to illness and I still live the same way except for the clothes in plastic. I guess I do not have too many of those phthalates in me. I think someone is trying to slowly cut the population down what do you think?
