Have you been a victim of pickpocket?

i was terribly shocked yesterday because i have been a victim of pickpockets, and what's the most shocking is that it happened in a mall.
i was with my daughter yesterday afternoon at the mall near our place to buy school bags and everything that she will use in school this coming june. when i noticed that my cellphone was gone. i saw the pocket of my bag opened and it was gone like a flash!!
considering that it has happened in the mall it saddens me because i trust the security of malls very much. i had learned my lesson and when i go to the mall next time i will be very alert and keen because you cannot say when you will be a victim of pickpockets.
did you experienced the same? what did you do the time you learned that you were a victim of pickpocket? pls. share, thanks guys and happy posting!!:)

Blueberry, that was just terrible what had happened to you. I never been a piokpocket victim. But my Mom almost been a victim. In an elevator in a mall. Mom bring a big bag and the elevator was full with people. Mom feel like someone keep pushing into her. When the elevator opened and people goes out, mom saw that her bag was already had a big hole in it. thanks God thats nothing missing, The thief must be miscaculated the elevator to open too quickly.

gee, that was a very sad experience to think that all around the world has crimes like that. i hope it won't happen to me anymore. let's just cross our fingers!! thanks ofr your good response hcpoirot and happy posting!!:)

In this day and age we must be extra careful. So sorry this happened to you. I haven't been the victim of a pick pocket. I had my entire purse stolen. Luckily I was not the victim of id theft. This happened many years ago. And whenever it happens it is scary.

I feel sorry to hear that awful thing happened to you. Personally I haven't experienced that kind of thing. I will be very frustrated if it does, I am very keen, observant, whenever I am riding public transportation, taxis etc No place is safe. I have lots of friends/acquaintances who experience that scene, and based from their stories, I learned how to be extra careful. You take care and always trust your instincts. If you feel something is not right, or something bad will happen, leave or staty away to that place. Prevention is always better than cure.

thats disappointing, i'm sorry to hear your cell was stolen.
i have never been pick-pocketed, and hope never to be.

yes, we should be very careful in every person who is getting near us. be keen. that was the thing i lack myself before this happened to me. i was not keen and i don't think that it will happen to me. until yesterday. i was really sad and so depressed. that cellphone is so memorable to me because i bought it in Japan. Gee, if i could only turn back time. anyways, thanks for your good response and have a great day!! :)

About 6 months ago I had my mobile phone stolen while in London. I wasn't that upset that it had been taken because I had it covered by insurance but I was so angry that I had let my guard down. I suppose that it was a good thing that I have experienced this now because I am always alert and always know where my belongings are. I always thought that it would never happen to me but it did and I learned from it!
