Question about mic and my computer

I was just wondering something...I bought a mic and a cam as a combo(the mic and the cam are separate but in the same pack..and the namebrand is philips)and the cam does fine but whenever im on yahoo messenger and i am trying to talk to someone using a mic because of various reasons it messes my computer up and it becomes un responsive...what is the problem? it does it about every thirty mins?

Even though I live in Holland I have to admit that the brand you mentioned is one that will not enter my house. I think their products are not of a superior quality. However your problems may not be due to your mike at all. Try reinstalling it on yahoo and do a test with it like they suggest. If the problem persists then it is also possible that it is due to the yahoo connection itself. Try it out on skype. If you don't have the same problem then you'll know it's not your mike but yahoo that is causing the problems.

I am just totally confused with this. Did you install the drivers and stuff properly? if not please try to install all the drivers once again. Uninstall them and install them again and see if the problem still persists, then check with the audio card. If every thing is working fine then happy. If the mic still gives problems then i suppose u may need to try a different mic and check if that is coz of the new mic then u know what to do.
