Learning a new language, what program is the best?

I am considering learning a second language. I want to master Spanish and I am curious to know if any of you can reccommend a good, easy to catch on, program. I need to further my education to be accepted for many of the positions I have trained for. Let me hear what you can reccommend.

A friend of mine used Rosetta Stone, but I think she said it was pretty expensive. She said it was worth it though.
