Does the number of friends affect how many responses someone can get?

If I have more friends am I more likely to get more responses? I see some discussions with 60 or more responses and I've noticed how many friends they have.

i think it depends on the friends themselves and their interests. of course, it's basic knowledge that the more friends you have, the higher the chance the friends are likely to respond to your discussions. but if you have many friends and yet they don't have similar interests to you, then i don't think it is effective in getting many responses. so i guess, if you have many friends of similar interests to yours, then only are you more likely to get more responses in my opinion.

i think having more friends can give you more responses. but there are many factors like the discussion topic. i want to hear what others have to say to this.

hi as we know, the activities of our friends occur on our home page.thus if more friends means more members will see your new discussion from their home page if you just start one.the possibility of getting more responses is larger than those who have a few friends. so basically,it's right.
