I prefer to response to discussions too. I can think about the topic before i read the post. I often make a question mark in my mind that, if i am in that situation, what will i do? That's an interesting process. Perhas i cannot experience so many as mylotter in my life, but reading mylotters' experiences is just like i am experiencing the same things. But i do start start some discussions some time, when i really get a problem and need some suggestions.

Well said, reading other people's posts feels like watching a movie for me

I also respond most of the time but I am very selective in my choice of topic to respond to.
Maybe that is because I am a bit dim and don't know much. haha
But then I learn something new on Mylot every day. Most interesting!!

I'm a little picky too, I usually spend 1 minute searching for an interesting discussion until I respond to one.

I must say that I tend to respond to discussions more than I start them. I find that my 'pattern' seems to have changed. I visit MyLot rather less than I did, for one thing, partly because I find myself rather bored by the general trend of discussions lately and also because other things occupy my time.
I find, too, that most days I am more 'sparked' by other people's discussions than I am by my own 'burning topics' but then there will be a day when, for some reason, there are several things that I feel it worth starting a fire over!
Actually, I think it to be true that some people are natural 'instigators' while others are better at commenting. MyLot has recognised this, I believe, in that one is paid more or less the same for starting a discussion as one is for responding.

Same here, it's almost like I have a "commenting gene" inside me

Hi,
I prefer to respond rather than start my own discussions because I'm lack of ideas to start discussions.
Responding to discussions is more fun than starting my own discussions. I can learn about other mylotters problems and ideas. It is very nice to respond to discussions and commenting to discussions too.

that's true! replying is easier but starting a discussion and seeing how people react is interesting too :D

I like writing discussions and I like responding to discussions, but I would rather respond to a discussion, because it is a lot easier, especially since its hard to come up with long, worth reading discussions.
