Can coffee help us to stay awake when we want to burn mid night oil?

Coffee makes me more tired and puts me to sleep if anything.
Maybe cause it's nice and hot and cozy.
I'm not sure.

Well, I'm a night owl myself so I generally don't have a problem staying up very late.
Munchies help sometimes ;)

It can but and this is a big but here, if you drink coffee or caffeine products most of the day then you are used to it. Those two cups aren't going to make a difference. Now if normally all you drink is caffeine free things during the day and then have two cups of coffee you are going to be up all night. It depends on what you are used to. The same can be said about sugar or anything else that is meant to "Perk you up".

It's not that good to drink too much coffee,
cause caffeine will cause side effect to our body.

Caffeine can only do so much. The coffee has to be strong, too, and more than two cups, lol. But at my age that won't do much for me either. My body now has a way of just forcing sleep. Dang, to be young again!

You have to remember that it takes a while for the caffeine to get into your blood stream. So if you have two cups right after each other it will still take a while to rev you up. Although I wouldn't advise doing so. If you need to sleep you need to sleep and you shouldn't try to stay up. And it won't help your activities either. In homeopathy coffee is used as a sleep inducer. Talk about paradoxes hunh?!
