As for me, I can understand only two language. English and my native language tagalog. Having been in some Asian countries before like Malaysia and Taiwan, I can understand a few words (especially in malaysia because some of yourr words are the same as what we use) but I can't really understand sentences.

Hi! Well, I am fluent in 2 languages only and that is Tagalog/Filipino and English. I also know basic Chinese(Mandarin). I can write simple sentences and speak some of it but Im not that of an expert. I went to a Chinese Catholic school and since Kindergarten we were taught Mandarin so I know the basic stuff. I know some words in Hokkien too and a bit of Ping Yin.
I know some words in Spanish and Japanese too but just some phrases. Spanish because our language is mostly based on that and Japanese from watching all the anime shows while growing up.LOL
Im starting to learn French because of the online programs that Im in. Its hard to copy and paste words into an online translator so Im thinking of having French classes this term.
As for the dialects Im only fluent in one and that is my native Bicol. I know some phrases in Rinconada too but thats about it.LOL

I can understand English (my native language), Spanish, and Italian. I can read a lot of French, but I have trouble understanding what is spoken to me and responding. Another year or so, and I'll be fluent in it. I tried my hand at Chinese, and it is HARD. I have a lot of respect for anyone who can learn the characters and have an intelligible conversation.
