What do you think about penalties decisions?

Isn't that a little unfair when a team struggles all over the championship and loses on the final game on a penalty decision?I think there should be another way of deciding who is going to win. Instead of penalties, it could be a freekick from outside the box, and the goalie could move around the small box.
What do you think?

it is bad choice but should do. we know, it is last decision when no teams win.

I think the penalties are fair enough especially in the final matches because the finalists are already considered as the 2 best teams of the tournament. so, if you reach the final in a tournament then it will always be as memorable as the cup winner. Personally, I remember all the runners up of the cups which I have watched. If you want to talk about the tournament of a specific year, you usually mention the name of the finalists.
For example, do you remember the world cup 2002 which brazil and germany played in final?
Even if you lose with penalties, everyone knows what penalty is, and what it is not. Some of the misses in penalties are remembered for AGES. Like the one Roberto Baggio did many years ago. :)

I agree that penalty kicks aren't very fair. I have a hard time coming up with a better solution though. I see where you are going with the freekick, but it is essentially the same thing with a more difficult shot. It could be a little better though. The only good way is to allow them to play until someone scores a goal. The problem is that could take forever, and everyone would be so tired injurys would come into play. I guess it would take someone smarter than I to figure out a good solution everyone would agree with.
