Cheesecakes galore... / myLot

I love cherry chessecake. I htink most people call it the New York style cheesecake, never really understood if there was a difference between regular cheesecake with cherry topping and the NY style one. But I have seen a variety of different kids of cheesecake. And a couple of years ago my sister-in-law brought a pupmkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving....I have to be honest, unless you crave pumpkin steer clear....I was not impressed. So what kind of cheesecake do you like?

There is a company here in Chicago called Eli's and they make an apple pie cheesecake that is to die for. I have to say that is my all time favorite.

I'll have to check it out next time I am up there....is it in the city or just outside the city. I miss Chi-town. sigh.

The actual bakery is on the north side of the city. But some grocery stores all around Illinois sell them. You can also get them online- shipped to you I think.

Cherry cheese cake is my favourite. Like you I'm not sure what the difference is between that and NY Cheese cake, or i there is a difference. I'm sitting at The Second Cup right now, and thinking ery seriously about ordering a piece of Cherry Cheesecake. It's over there, and it's calling me.

I love cheesecake with a passion. As a matter fo fact, i just finished the last piece yesterday. I love cherry topping, but i can dig blueberry...plus i make my own cheesecake. And to answer the question about the difference between cherry topped cheesecake and a ny cheesecake, there's no difference. you have a ny cheesecake, but if you threw a toppin on it it'll still be a ny cheesecake, just with a topping.
