well, there are no new good games coming on the ps2 since the next gen consoles are out now... i am going to buy a 360 just for this reason. well if u wanna try out some good games, play the following
1)metal gear solid 2/3
2)pro evolution soccer (any latest edition)
3)burnout revenge
4)need for speed most wanted/carbon
5)ace combat 5(air combat simulator)
6)final fantasy 10/12
7)gta san andreas
8)shadow of colossus
9)kingdom hearts 1/2
10)timesplitters 3
11)prince of persia
12)fight night
13)tekken 5
14)dark cloud 2

Ya i agree with you, i think most company will not come out a new Play Station 2 game even so i still don't buy Play Station 3 yet. I wish i have enough money to buy the new one as soon as possible. I read you list some good game above, i think you might miss one game. God Of War is my favorite game, i hope you play it before. I already finish hard mode and now i was able to play in titan mode. Hahaha, the game was fun especially connected to a good sound system. Anyway, i like all the game in your list above, hope you buy x360 soon.

not many the ps2 is dying ....try the ps3 if u have the money.
