How long does it take you to post each individual discussion on MyLot?

For me, it can take up to ten minutes to write out each discussion.
I'm not sure why it takes me so long to post a discussion. Maybe it's because I double check everything before clikcing the start discussion button. Or, maybe because I love to endlessly edit my ideas. And, then there's the fact that everyone takes things differently, so I like to make sure that I'm speaking in as clear language as possible.
This happens even when I pre-write out the discussion on NotePad. Sometimes I critique it endlessly and that sort of takes away from the time that I have saved. But, I didn't do that this time.
On my last discussion, that I posted a minute ago, I was actually able to get through one entire post in less than five minutes. So, that was a bonus for me.
How long does it take you to post a discussion? Do you find yourself endlessly editing what you have written?

I don't start discussions very often at all, so I really don't have any idea about how long it takes me to post them now.
As far as posting to someone else's discussion, it usually just takes me 2 or 3 minutes to type out a response, as long as it's something that I don't have to give too much thought to. As long as it's a subject that I am pretty opinionated on, or pretty well informed, then I can get it done fast. Like if it's about kids, a lot of times it just takes me a couple of minutes, because I know exactly what I want to say before I even start typing.

I find the same thing too! Since posting this discussion about a week ago, I've tried to post more responses on friends discussions and it takes me about 2-3 minutes per. But, I do like the cooking discussions and ones about movies. I can do those in no time at all! Mostly because I hold strong opinions about both subjects.

it depends for me. :)
when im in the mood for a really good discussion, then im into 6-10 mins.
and when replying, depends on what the discussion is..
if im into the interest that was posted, then i have the 10mins. operation for a good reply.
^^
but sometimes, my minimum quick reply would be 2 or 3 mins.
^^

Lately, I've found the same thing too. No matter how fast I type a response, it still takes at least three minutes, even at super fast speed.

I don't often post discussions but when I do it doesn't feel like it takes very long at all. I have never really paid attention to the actual amount of time though.
Usually when I post something, it has been mulling around in my head for a little while. So I just come here, type it out and post. I give it a quick once over to make sure it makes sense. Once in awhile I will move a sentence around or take out/change a word. But, that's about it. I try not to complicate it too much and just have fun with it.

This moment, I should say that you must be very capable to write articles/discussions, and very good at it, right? for me, most times, I just can't find suitable things to discuss here, because so many people here and most of them joined mylot before me, they had already issues many different discussions here, actually,it's hard for us to find a topic which may not be posted by others. So, my discussions not many, my earnings not much, and some of my discussions were not be replied...... Maybe it's just normal, right?

Hey, beutyqueen, i don't edit much, i hate double check, it's good, but i just don't like. So when i have exams, i don't check too much, twice at the most. I type what i want to say and post respose in a minute. Occasinonally it will cause confusion, but as it's not that big problem, i just act my way as i used to.

I am constantly thinking about what to write and how to write it! So it takes me a few minutes also! Some people just throw anything out there and I don't want to do that I want to think about what I am asking!

It really depends on the topic, and how much explaining I need to do. I think a couple of minutes up to five is probably what I used.
However, I spend more time thinking about what discussions should I start. As a habit, I usually only start one discussion a day. I comment on other people's discussions, but as for me, I prefer to manage only one discussion daily.
Since I just recently reached the 500 posts mark that allows me to copy and paste, previously, I typed directly to the posting page. I sort of hurriedly edit most of my work, and sometimes not at all. So that does not take much time, either.

It only takes me a minute or two to post discussions on MyLot, and comments and responses, where necessary. Once I read something and have something in my head to say, it really doesn't take me that long to say it.

I don't post a lot of discussions. I tend to respond to more discussions than I start. But, I would say that I take equal times for both. And, that is probably around 5 or 10 minutes. Not because I am editing. Just because I am so verbose! LOL! I talk...a lot! Give me something to talk about and you may be lucky to walk away with your ears in tact! LOL!
So, it takes me some time. And, that being said, it always shocks me when I read someone bragging about having done 100 discussions, whether they are a mix of ones they started or ones they responded to. I am on and off myLot all day long and, I can usually only manage to fit in about 30 responses and maybe 10 or more responses to responses from others. I just can't do any more than that. Perhaps because I am so verbose! LOL! I like the word "verbose"...can you tell? LOL!
Anyway, I would say that each of my activities here takes no less than 5 minutes and can take a bit more than that.

If I'm not sure what to say, it takes me a few minutes longer to come up with a decent response and typing it. It usually takes me less than a minute to type something that I can speak freely about about. Like right now, lol, I feel comfortable enough to respond to this topic and I can move along with ease. Plus, I have to add a few seconds to go back and reread everything and make sure the typos are fixed.

It depends how much I say. But my comp was freezing before and it took over an hour cos I had typed something long in there and waiting for my comp to finish doing whatever it was doing :P. Yeah prewriting in notepad would be a good way, but for new users they are not allowed to cut n paste : O

I don't start a lot of discussions, but when I do I want to write it clearly so my meaning will be understood. I take time to think about it before I write it, then I will review it and edit it until I am satisfied. So it always takes me more than five minutes.

I takes me a lot of time before I actually post the discussions of mine. I also double check the spelling and grammar. I have to consult Mr. Webster sometimes. I guess the longest time I have to spent one each discussion is 30 minutes. I also had one that it only took me ten minutes, but that was a very short discussion...
