I'm disappointed in Proactive. Anyone else have problems?

When I first began using Proactive, my skin looked fantastic! Now, three to four months later, my skin has a reddish appearance (worse than before), more pimples and just overall, looks bad. Any ideas? If you use some other type of skin care, would you please share it with me? I am 39 years old, if that helps at all. Thanks!

Proactive has an acid type of ingredient in it, that is probably causing an allergic reaction to you. At 39 are you battling acne or rosacia? I too had problems when using proactive. I was 16 when I used it and it just made my face way too oily. But then I went to the derm. and she gave me some antibiotics and a cream called retin-A and told me to use the antibiotics for 30 days and use the retin-A on trouble areas and to me it worked wonders on my skin.
