Public system is better.
Kids have to learn how to stay with friend,
learn about social, and learn how to become independent.
Do you expect that a home schooled kids will independent when he/she grown up?

I've been disappointed in the public school system for a very long time and wish that I could have home schooled my kids. I think they would have gotten a better education. Up north the schools were overcrowded and the teachers spent more time dealing with problem students than teaching. They had metal detectors at the doors and fights in the hallways. We moved down south to a small town with a small school system which also has a small budget so they can't attract and keep good teachers. My daughter had a music teacher who taught her to play the guitar and to love music. The following year he was gone and the new music teacher killed her new found love because he was a terrible teacher. If I had it to do over I would find a way to home school.
