What's your favorite brand of baby diapers, that don't leak?

When my daughter was a baby and toddler, I had the worst time finding diapers that fit well and didn't leak during the middle of the night. For awhile we used cloth diapers, but for some reason she always got soaked when I used those. So, I never used them at night. I found that the fancy brands weren't always leak-proof either. Maybe because they are cut a lot smaller. Surprising since they're way more expensive. You'd think that you could get more diaper for your bucks.
I found great success using the Walmart brand diapers. I think they've changed them to Parent's choice or something like. I can't remember the name. But, they're the best, even as good as Pampers. They never ever leak! And, I mean never! And, if your child is a late bloomer and still needs a diaper a little bit past toddler hood and still is mastering the fine art of potty training then a size six Walmart brand will work fine. You don't even have to buy the big kid (super expensive) Pull ups.
I tried the other generic brands, including grocery store brands from Albertsons to save money. And, they were no good. They worked OK on leak protection, but they were not big enough for my big baby.
For instance, I noticed that the Walgreens and Albertsons brand always ran really small, whereas the Walmart brand of diapers were more generously cut and fit her like a dream. They absorbed a lot better than the fancy brand and cost a lot less. We never paid more than thirteen dollars for a big pack of diapers. And they were great for overnight.

We didn't like the Parents Choice diapers for our son. I think they may have been some that gave him rashes. We had that problem with a lot of different brands.
We had good luck with the Target brand diapers, but only during the day. We didn't have many problems with leaks in them, and they didn't ever give him a rash, as long as he was changed really fast.
Huggies Supreme (the most expensive!) were the only diapers that we could use overnight. Everything else gave him rashes.
As far as Pull Ups go, we still use them when we go places, even though my toddler is day time potty trained. We live 20 miles from the nearest grocery store, though, so he really needs that protection because that is a long time to hold it when you're only 2. Anyway, we can use the Huggies or Pampers brand either one on them. I catch them on sale and use coupons, and can get them for a decent price. I never tried any store brands, because my sister told me that they had problems with every single store brand they tried on my nieces.

You've made an excellent point about the rashes! Yes, I am familiar with those as I'm sure many moms are too. Finding a diaper that won't give your baby or toddler a rash is a really important factor when choosing a diaper. As you say, it just takes lots of trial and error and patience. I'm so happy that you brought up this point.
While she didn't have problems with rashes while she was wearing the Walmart brand, some babies do. It's possible there was a material in the Walmart brand diapers, that your son was allergic to.
Skin sensitivity varies for each baby and child. You always bring up the smartest points. Glad you're hanging around!
I will make a point to try and locate Pampers and Huggies coupons online and post them as I find them. Sometimes I've seen them in the past online, where you can print the coupon out. I will either post them here on MYLot, so you can find them or add a link on one of my blogs.
Be well. Have a good day!

I don't know if your place have these brands but my baby had tried mommy poko and it is very nice diaper. It does not leak and it still feels dry even when used. But it is costly here. I also tried drypers and I also like it. I also tried some unbranded nappies that are found here in our place and I saw some that has a good quality too.

I don't recognize the mommy poko name brand, but I will check online for it. It sounds nice. Thanks for sharing that tip. I'm always looking for newer and better baby options for a potential second and third! LOL!

I am not from US. So I am not familiar with those brands. Pampers does not leak but it is costly. Huggies leaks due to its small cut near the buttocks. Drypers works fine and is cheaper. Pull ups are good in Huggies brand but it is costly. I tried it all as I got them as samples.

You're right! They're so expensive, but there are usually coupons online for them that you can print out.

I had tried a few different brands of diapers for my son in the past. And I think the best brand is Pampers. In fact Pampers is one of the famous diaper brands here. It won't leak and meanwhile its price is reasonable. When my friends have babies now, I always recommend Pampers for them.
I love China

i have had the most success with luvs diapers. i buy them at target and i've gotten a box of like 100 for $13-$15 just depending on whether or not i have a coupon or they're on sale. we tried huggies, but they were cut way too small and her bottom would always hang out the sides. my sister likes the target breand of diapers. with my baby sister, my mom would us the walmart brand, but i didn't care for them. the filling would peel from the inside of the diaper and stick to her. that was six years ago though, maybe the quality has changed some.

We always used Pampers. I dont recall them ever leaking with my kids.
One time I tried a generic brand from Wal-Mart and I noticed they didnt last as long, hold up as well as Pampers.
I guess thats what happens when you go cheap. lol

My kids are no longer in diapers, but I came across a site that offers biodegradable diapers - http://www.blulow.com/gdiapers.html . Has anyone ever tried them?

I agree about the Parents Choice diapers. It is what we use/d with both ours. When my son was born we tried all the fancy diapers but found that some of the cheaper ones worked better, and didnt cost as much. We used Luvs on him for a while, then someone suggested trying the Parents Choice, tried them and havent tried anything else since. I was worried about trying them when we first did because everything broke my son out. We tried the cheap diapers and there was no way we could use those, we ended up giving them away. When my daughter was born, of course we used what people gave us as gifts, but always went back to the Parents choice. I just never cared for the Huggies, and Pampers or the cheap brands.

When my niece was little we tried them all. So many of the generics would leave her raw. It was difficult. We would use either the Wal-Mart brand or Luvs; whichever was cheaper. A lot of the time Luvs was cheaper, which surprised us. Luvs worked great. They didn't leak and they didn't bother her skin. I'd recommend them to anyone to use.

We have used Pampers Comfort for our kids, right now the youngest is still using it.As far as leaking is concern, experienced wise,it is depend on the amount of fluids. You can say that it will not leak yeah that's true, but take a look at the amount of fluid in there.Pampers also leak, last night,my younger take two bottle of milk before sleep and this morning there is leak in the bed sheet. This is based on our experience, also the way you attached it is another concern,if it is not in proper place leak may occur.

I use Pampers right now and I also used them with my son. I have to say that I do not like huggies at all. Huggies always seem to leak and then there are all those little gel beads (even when there isn't a lot of pee). I also used to use the Wal-mart brand with my son and they were great. I will use them for my daughter soon as well ... but right now she is still really young and has a sensitive bum so I will stick to the pampers until she is a month or so older.
