I feel somewhat lost. I was baptized 2 years ago, and I thought that I would have a stronger sense of spirituality. I grew up with my grandparents and my grandfather is a preacher so I was in church alot, but I had never been baptized until I was in my 20's. You know how you grow up and in your late teens-20's you find yourself, you know you find out what type of personality you have, just what type of person you will be. I feel like you come to that same point in yourt life spiritually too but I haven't. I thought that once I was baptized that it would automatically fall into place over a little time, but the only difference is that I do my best to live my life according to the bible. So if anyone has any advice on how to get deeper into your spirituality please share. The bible says that you should be cold or hot not luke warm, he prefer for you to be one or the other and at this point I am afraid that I may be luke warm.

Maybe it will help you to write down what happened.

What I do is spend time within the church, I go to Bible Study, Sunday School, I have been reading Purpose Driven Life with my boyfriend. I know I fall short of where I need to be in my walk with God, but God understands that as well.
I accepted Jesus and was baptized when I was in my 20's also. It doesn't change things over night or anythign it's an active change. You need to do what you can to become hot instead of luke warm.

Hey JRo. This is only my opinion. I believe you are on the right track for God to really use you. I don't think you're luke warm, I think you're just looking for more of God. It's great that you're living your life according to the Bible. That's what God wants us all to do, but to get deeper in your spirituality, you have to develop an intimate relationship with God. I'm sure you're saying how can I do that. Well I'll tell you my story. I was born and raised in the church. I knew how to live according to the bible. I knew how to live saved and I did so until my teenage years. About 8 years ago, I rededicated my life to God, But this time it was different. It wasn't about "do this, don't do that". I had learned how to get in the presence of God. That's how you develop a relationship. Do like I did. Get you some good worship music, music that tells God how worthy He is, and how much you love Him and How awesome He is to you. God loves this worship. Get alone by yourself and just meditate and worship Him. Talk to Him like you would your best friend. Tell Him you want more of Him and whatever else you need to tell Him. He already knows, but just talk to Him. If you need some suggestions on worship music respond back and I'll give you some of my suggestions.
