Odd Hip Feeling in 4th month, Is this normal?

I woke up one morning last week and as I was walking to the bathroom I noticed that my hips feel... looser for lack of a better word. Almost like they had spread out a bit or were kind of loosely fitting in the socket. The feeling has not gone away, but also hasn't gotten any worse. I don't go to my Dr for another week, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced it or knew if it was normal.

The female body does a lot of growing, stretching & releasing of hormones during the pregnancy, the make the body ready for the passing of the baby. I have found lately that my groin gets stabbing pains & my belly gets some major cramping/pressure pains these days & my Dr just said that since my body doesn't realise i'm having a C Section, it will still go through all the motions of preparing itself to let the baby pass. I am currentlt 33 1/2 weeks along but the pressure pains have been around for the last month or so. I am sure what you're experiencing is normal, just your body getting ready - it might seem a little early but there is a lot of things the body needs to go through to be ready in time! Bring it up with your Dr all the same when you see him next but i'm sure he'll just explain it's everything just stretching & such in preparation - i hope this helps you some! Good luck!

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it. It's reassuring to know that other women have odd things happen to them as well. My first child was stillborn @ 6 months after a drunk driver slammed into the drivers side of my car, so I'm a bit scared this time around. I seem to be bigger this time to, but that could just be my imagination. Man, pregnancy gives you loads of things to worry about, but so much joy at the same time. Good luck with your C-Section!

That could also be your baby is moving upward and in the later months will drop back down. I had 6 kids, Five by C-section. I used to lay my leg on a big pillow to keep from smushing my baby when I slept. Don't worry You will be fine. Enjoy this special time in your life. Get lots of rest eat healthy for you and your baby and walk when you feel upto it. Remember you want to be healthy once your baby is born, because you will need alot of energy, believe me.lol Plus you want to have a nice looking body too, right. Congrats on your baby.
