Living Without Cats

Does anyone else out there live with someone who doesn't like cats? I do - my husband Stuart just doesn't like cats at all so unfortunately I can't have cats as pets. I have tried and tried to convince him what wonderful and lovable bundles of fun they are but he won't have a bar of it. Is anyone else in this situation or has anyone else ever been in this situation and managed to turn the non-cat fan into a cat fan? If so, I would love to hear how this came about. In the meantime I stalk other peoples cats and speak to cats across gardens - people think I'm mad. My mum has 2 cats but she now lives in Cyprus so its a long way to go for a cuddle.
