It seems like people just turn their heads when they see that someone needs help latley. At least that is my experience.

Most of the time I would. The other day a guy was riding his bike and he was in the middle of the crosswalk when his sandal fell off I bent over and picked it up for him so he wouldn't have to get off his bike in the middle of the road.

You are right, it seems no one wants to help anyone anymore, I would definatly help someone that needed it, I hate it when you see people that snub there noses at someone whom needs help.

Many people might be afraid to help these days. After all, how often do you see stories of people stopping to help a stranded motorist and then getting their car stolen? Also, there are so many scams out in the world. It makes people wonder if the person has a legitimate need, or if they are just trying to make money doing nothing. A few bad apples can ruin it for everyone else.
On the other hand, I have often been the recipient of "random acts of kindness." The bus driver who puts fare money in for me when otherwise I would have had to walk twenty blocks to get to the train station. The conductor on the train that offers to loan me money to get me through the week. The neighbor who bought my son a pair of gloves and a hat the year I couldn't afford it right away. Three strangers stopping to help me change a flat tire on the interstate.
I will help anyone I can, if I know that they need help. Many times I can not afford to give money, but I will perform services for them, or give them food if it is needed, or even let them use my phone, stove, washing machine, etc. Sometimes the difficult part of getting help is asking the right person for it, asking multiple people, even strangers, if they could help you out.

I would help if I could even though no one was there when I needed it.

Yes, I help people if I see someone needing help. One day I walked to a coffee shop and on my way home I saw a man in a wheel chair trying to wheel himself down the street. The man couldnt control the chair and was about to tip over and fall out of his chair. I ran to him and asked him if I may help. I asked first. He was so surprized! He said yes, I pushed his wheel chair six blocks to his destination, a medical clinic, then I took him indoors, up the elevator, and into his doctor's reception area. I felt really good to help him. My coffee? It was still sitting where I left it when I returned.

I didn't see your post, so I would've responded. Maybe this is a reason to post under "list". But yes, I would help, yet I've been without help myself, many times. It's a shame...

I really love the feeling of being able to help someone in need within my capacity.
