out of sight out of mind?

i am presently trying to forget somebody ive come to really hate.ive been battling between deleting that somebody from my email and chat lists or keeping them. i am still in a dilemma. but lately, not seeing that person online has helped me forget all about that person. but the other day when that person suddenly appeared online i wanted to chat again.
