How often is too often?

When it comes to eating out? I mean this more for my daughter. She probably has had 2 Happy Meals this week. With my new job I am constantly running around and we only ever seem to sit down and eat at dinner because my gram cooks. I really don't like her eating out or eating sugar. I usually substitute the apples for the fries and she gets nuggets and a juice box. Am I just being paranoid or is this really bad for her to be eating?

It sounds like you're doing the best you can to ensure that she's eating healthy -- like the apples for fries. I don't know your schedule, but is there a way you could cook a bunch of something every weekend so that you have rotating 'good' food you can just yank out of the freezer and microwave? I remember when my mom and dad were working long hours, my mom have us make (alright, she'd do most of it, but...) a couple hundred waffles over the weekend. She'd make them sugar free and freeze them, and we'd do dinner waffles, breakfast-for-dinner, etc. when it was too close to bedtime to put together a meal. Then she got fancy and started making five or ten casseroles every weekend and freezing them. :) She eventually got us all to the point where we could start things when we got home from school (salads, rice-in-a-bag, pulling out frozen cubed steak and putting it in the electric skillet to cook until she got home) and it'd be ready for her to finish when she and my dad got home.

Well, ofcourse, each and every one, children and adults, have their likes and dislikes, especially when it comes appetite for food. You are not paranoid. You have your preferences too ! Have a nice day Angel !
