Have you tried one of those "heath" stores? Some sports places that sells vitamins & stuff for the weight lifters sell things to help you gain weight... I'm sure when you said "weight gain", you don't mean just eating fatty food... They say muscle weighs more than fat does so eating good & working out should actually help you gain weight, even though first few month, you might loose some... That's just loosing water weights & fat weights... Once your body start building muscle tones, you should start gaining weights...

I am in the same boat as you are and my friends suggested ice cream and nutrient drinks to help put the weight on. You have to stay constant about it and not do a couple days then stop like I was doing for then it throws the whole purpose off. Do it for a month or so everyday and see what happens. So far I have gained a couple of pounds. I wish you the best of luck and take care.

I would suggest a 3500 calorie diet. It's hard to get to that in meals alone. You can compliment your diet with a protein shake between meals. A lot of people also load up on the carbs to gain weight. You should check with a licensed nutritionist or medical doctor before starting any extreme eating practice.

I have the same problem. I have always been skinny and have lost some weight recently, due to a stomach bug, that I really need to put back on! My doctor says my health is ok, I just need to eat more! I've always had a small appetite. She said to eat peanut butter, eggs, ice cream and cheese because they have lots of nutrition as well as calories. Imagine, doctor's orders to eat ice cream!
I know that exercise will also help build muscle, which will add bulk to a skinny person, so I am making an effort to take a walk every day. I'm also considering doing some strength training.
