Can any body suggest why most PTCs are called bux?

I am new to making money concept in Internet.
I see many have paid to clicks sites joined.
Dont know how many are getting paid?
Still I want to ask why many of them have bux attached to their names.
Is there a specific protocol or what?
Any one can give me the answers please.
