Excessive carbon monoxide is causing the air pollution due to emissions from industries and vehicles. Should we not grow many trees in cities to reduce Air pollution to some extent?

The following causes air pollution. Industrial emissions, emissions from vehicles (carbon monoxides), waste burning in the centre of city and exposed to atmosphere, dust raised by unmetalled roads, dirt not collected by municipal authorities, open drains in the city and villages, stagnated water etc.
Civic Authorities, Pollution control Boards, Transport Authority should take strintgent action against violators.

Part of the problem is that many tress are cut down and not replaced. This can help, but only mature adult trees really make a dent in air quality. Everyone must do their part - enforce air quality controls at plants, keep their car tuned, drive less, use more energy efficent appliances - to make a differnce in air quality. Unfortunately, not all countries regulate air quality not helping the situation.
