Why shuld the children be obedient? Is this the rule made by parents? Is there any disadvantage, if they are not?

Children should obey their parents, we have lived and experienced many things in life and want our children to grow up to be happy, healthy, productive humans. We do this through setting limit's on what we think they should and shouldn't do. If they aren't listing and aren't obedient of our guidence and request of them, they many times can encounter problems in life they can't handle.

What cannot be pruned at plant size, cannot be done when it is tree. This is a saying and it is apt here. If children cannot be obedient to the parents, who else can be: adults to their grand parents, college students to their lecturers or their parents. One can mould strength of character in children and imbibe in them virtues and values which are fast loosing ground in the present day youth. If you consider it is a rule by parents, I feel it should be accepted.

Children shoudl listen to their parents. It is manily for their own safety. As a parent you should guide your child so that they learn to make good decisions for themselves. If they choose to not listen there should be a consequnces because once they are in school and further in life, there will be such.
